Formalities
A valid passport is needed. South Africa requires no Visa. Zimbabwe requires a Visa, ($30). Tanzania requires a Visa, $50. You can get information from the Embassy of Tanzania by

The import of hunting weapons to South Africa and Zimbabwe are free (declaration at customs upon arrival suffices), but Tanzania charges a government fee for any weapons brought into the country. The legislation governing international flights demands that weapons be transported in lockable cases.
Permits
When booking, specify the animals you wish to hunt. All hunters from countries which are signatory to CITES Convention must bring a photocopy or their original CITES permit for Leopard, Elephant, Crocodile, Lion and Hippopotamus. CITES permits can be obtained from Federal Wildlife Permit Office,

Any Safari activity is potentially hazardous and it is essential that all lawful direction and advice of the Safari operator be followed. Chattaronga Safaris accepts no responsibility for death, injury or illness sustained or suffered by any persons loss, theft, or damage to property occurring during a visit (or visits) to areas or resorts under our control, whether allegedly due to the negligence of any of our servants or agents, or arising from the use of any facility supplied or made available by us. Some hospitalization plans do not cover patients in a foreign country. Insurance is Travellers Emergency Company Network, referred to at TEN (800) 275-4836, will transport the injured by plane to a hospital for the necessary care. American Republic Insurance Company (AMERICARE) is the hospital and emergency coverage. Their number is 800-640-9016. Firearm insurance is handled by Hollis E. Boss of Sportsman’s Insurance Agency, Inc. (SIAI) 800-925-7767. They insure guns, bows, cases and related items such as scopes, rings, quivers, sights, etc.
Flight arrangements
We can assist you in your travel arrangements. We have contracts with major airlines for domestic and international flights and can offer you competitive prices. Best prices are available with early reservation.
- Accommodation, including full board.
- Liquor and beverages served in camp (Wine, Beer & Soft Drinks).
- Laundry.
- Full-time service of an experienced Professional Hunter. Trained staff, trackers and skinners.
- Field preparation of trophies. All transport within the hunting areas. All hunting licenses.
- Pick up and drop off at Intl. Airport closest to the area in which you are going to hunt. (Limpopo – Polokwane, Kwa-Zulu Natal – Johannesburg, Mpumalanga – Johannesburg)
Facilities
We have a fully equipped shooting range, in order to get your rifle and bow ready for the hunt.
Terms and Conditions
A 50% deposit of total daily rate is payable upon confirmation of booking. Balance is payable 60 days before commencement of safari. Deposit will not be refunded if safari is cancelled 9 months or less prior to commencement. Booking may be postponed to an alternative date without a penalty until the next calendar year. Any further cancellation regardless notification period results into a 100% forfeit. All payments to be made in US Dollars, US Dollar traveller cheques drawn at a US bank or wire transfer.
